From 2010 to 2013, I served as the Chief Graphic & Home Automation UI/UX Designer for Solutech in Saint Barthélemy, French West Indies, where I led the design and successful launch of iVilla, a sophisticated home automation application for iOS and Android, while also overseeing the company’s brand identity and re-branding initiatives. In my UI/UX role, I crafted an intuitive and visually captivating interface for iVilla, enabling villa owners to seamlessly control features like lighting, security systems, HVAC, and entertainment. My design process began with thorough user research to pinpoint the preferences of luxury villa owners, which I transformed into detailed wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring a tailored and exceptional user experience.

As Solutech’s graphic designer, I was entrusted with shaping the company’s brand identity, spearheading a comprehensive re-branding effort that included designing all necessary visuals—logos, marketing materials, and digital assets—to reflect a cohesive and professional image. For iVilla, I visited each villa to test the application on-site, customizing its functionality and design based on the specific recommendations of villa owners, who were discerning clients with elevated expectations. This hands-on process allowed me to refine the interface to suit both the environment and their unique demands. I collaborated closely with the owner of Solutech to align the project vision and branding with business objectives, while partnering with developers and engineers to ensure technical accuracy and flawless execution. Engaging directly with villa owners, I incorporated their feedback to deliver a bespoke UI that balanced striking aesthetics with outstanding usability. My dual role resulted in a highly acclaimed, user-centric application and a revitalized brand presence for Solutech that resonated with its elite clientele.
